Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede announced today that Southern Gospel groups, Soul’d Out Quartet and Tribute Quartet, will both perform on Tuesday, Sept. 29 and Friday, Oct. 2. Each of these special performances will be held during gospel music’s largest annual event, the National Quartet Convention (NQC).

Both of these groups performed during last year’s NQC and will return to play in Dixie Stampede’s new-look 35,000-square foot arena. Earlier this year, the dinner attraction unveiled all-new lighting, music and incredible special effects, part of a $2.5 million renovation investment and upgrade to the show and arena.

“This has been an exciting year for Dixie Stampede and having the National Quartet Convention back again fuels even more excitement,” said Woody Peek, spokesperson for Dixie Stampede.    “We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to showcase both of these talented quartets for each show.”

New to this year’s show is a highly innovative staging backdrop that features an expansive wall of 12.5 million LED bulbs and mountain range giving guests the sensation of sitting underneath a full moon on a star-filled night in the middle of the nearby Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Thanks to the advanced technology of the LED wall, guests can be transported from coast to coast, beginning with a stop in the Smoky Mountains and then on to the Great Plains and the Rockies before returning to the New York Harbor.

“We strongly encourage everyone that attended the NQC show last year to come back and experience our new adventure at Dixie Stampede,” added Peek. “We’ve been working in conjunction with the NQC to ensure attendees can enjoy our special shows without missing any of the events at the LeConte Center.”

Each of these NQC shows begin at 2:15 p.m. in the Dixie Belle Saloon with a performance by Dixie Stampede’s bluegrass band, Mountain Ruckus. Guests then enter the main arena where the gospel show featuring both Soul’d Out Quartet and Tribute Quartet will take place at 3:00 p.m., followed by Dixie Stampede’s main show and traditional four-course family feast at 3:30 p.m.

Tickets to these shows are available by calling the Dixie Stampede box office at (800) 356-1676.
