The holiday season has arrived in Gatlinburg with one of the city’s greatest Christmas traditions, the annual Festival of Trees.

Presented by Gatlinburg Hospitality Solutions, this free event has brought the joys of the season to residents and visitors for over 40 years, while simultaneously supporting organizations that give opportunities to Sevier County’s local and business communities. This year’s proceeds will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of the Smoky Mountains and the Gatlinburg Chamber Foundation.

The festival will run Wednesday, November 21-25 and feature elaborate Christmas trees and decorations, visits with Santa, and live entertainment from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 26.

The festivities will begin with a special kickoff on Tuesday, November 20 at 6 p.m. with the Candy Canes & Cocktails Preview Party and Silent Auction at the W. L. Mills Conference Center on Historic Nature Trail in Gatlinburg. Attendees can purchase silent auction items, beautifully decorated wreaths and swags, and bid on their favorite Christmas trees.

Families are invited to enjoy Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, November 24, which will include a friendly visit from Santa, delicious pancakes and plenty of fun activities.
